My goal being elected to council is to focus on city needs while reducing spending and making Port Moody more efficient and affordable for our community.

I grew up in Coquitlam, lived in Vancouver for 10 years, and moved back to the tricity area to Port Moody for the past 28+ years and running.

We chose Port Moody because my wife and I felt it was the perfect spot as we were close to family, Vancouver, and we have the ocean, parks and lakes in our back yard.

Over the years, we’ve spent a lot of time participating in the community through sports and clubs, volunteering as a soccer and baseball coach, and meeting other parents along the same path with their families to create more opportunities for our kids to flourish.

I am also a member of TROPICA (The Residents of Pleasantside, Ioco communities Association) and a past member of the Pleasantside Community Association. Other volunteer roles as: President of Desert Surfside Waterfront Accommodations and past President of BayCrest Apartments during my time living in Vancouver.

My career started in the Aquaculture Industry and, shifted to the Commercial Fishing Industry where I still am today.  I’ve worked in many roles from the plant floor and culminating to Vice President of Sales selling seafood domestically and internationally.

I completed my post secondary education at UBC with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Biology with a major in Marine Biology.  My work is published in the Marine Ecology: Progress Series academic journal.

Other certificates collected along the way include:  SFU - marketing; U of M – sensory analysis; SME – sales; Canscott – labour relations;  The Grid – teamwork; scuba, skydive; boating; and firearms.

I enjoy paddleboarding and tennis, but it’s time to switch to pickle ball!
